Cabinet has approved a temporary travel ban on persons who have traveled, originated from, or have transited India and Bangladesh. According to the government, the short-term ban is due to the rising COVID-19 numbers in the two countries. Notably, India currently has the second-largest number of active COVID-19 cases in the world.
